Exhausted? Could it your mental stress?

Mental stress and exhaustion

Got too much on your mind? Are you a thinker? Do you worry too much?


It could well be a central reason for feeling exhausted.


The biological aspect (The fact that our brain uses up a lot of energy in proportion to its size) says that more brain = more energy used.


Another side of this issue is that when we are mentally stress out - we tend to breath less. Less breathing = less oxygen = less energy.


Exhausted and worried?

Time to do something about it :)

So where do you carry all the biological  excess burden of your mental stress?

The answer is in your nervous system.

Did you ever see someone going through a mental breakdown? The first symptom is incontrollable shaking. Shaking that is a reflection of the overload of the nervous system.


So what can we do to unburden ourselves of all this excess nervous tension?

The trick is simple - distract the mind and it will loose all excess tension over time. Distractions can be a good book (Not a thriller, obviously), a relaxing movie, a quiet stroll somewhere low in noise, the right hobby and any other idea that comes to mind that works for you.


How much should we invest in this?

My suggestion would be: enough time every day to make sure you end the day with less stress then you started.
